Lets you mount pressure gates to walls with baseboards since there's usually a smaller opening at the bottom of the gate than the top. Has a pressure pad with a 5/8" thick well that equalizes the distance at the top and bottom of the pressure gate. Pressure pad depth makes gate fit more securely for a safer installation. Makes gate fit securely even if bottom measurement doesn't require gate extensions but the top does. Oversized pad spreads pressure over a much larger surface area (over ten times the area of the safety gate's original pads) to prevent damage to walls and making installation more stable.
